Gujarat elections: BJP candidate from Jhagadia constituency - Ravjibhai Vasava
In 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections, Vasava Chhotubhai Amarsinh of the Janata Dal (United) had won from this seat.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Jhagadia Assembly Constituency for the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017 is Ravjibhai Vasava. Jhagadia is situated in Bharuch district of Gujarat. Located south of the southern bank of the Narmada River, it is southeast of the historic town Shukla Thirth. Jhagadia is a reserved constituency for the Schedule Tribes.

In 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections, Vasava Chhotubhai Amarsinh of the Janata Dal (United) had won from this seat by defeating Congress party's Vasava Balubhai Chhotubhai by 13,304 votes.
In September 2017, BJP in Gujarat inducted Jhagadia based Janata Dal (U) leader Ravji Vasava, his son Dinesh Vasava and their more than 500 supporters to its fold. Ravji Vasava, the former aide and confident of local MLA Chhotu Vasava, belonged to Sharad Yadav faction of JDU.
