Gujarat elections: BJP candidate from Dangs constituency- Vijaybhai Patel

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Dangs Assembly constituency for the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017 is Vijaybhai Patel. Dangs Assembly seat is reserved for Schedule Tribe candidates. In 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections, Vijaybhai Patel had lost to Congress party's Mangalbhai Gangajibhai Gavit by 2,422 votes. Vijaybhai had, however, won the assembly elections in 20017 by defeating Madhubhai Jalyabhai Bhoye by 7,883 votes.

Vijaybhai is 42-years-old and a resident of Ahava Taluka in Dang district. He is a graduate and also holds a diploma in mechanical engineering.

According to myneta.info, Vijaybhai's assets are worth around Rs 1.1 crore and he has no criminal cases against him.
