In 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections, Ishwarsinh Patel defeated Congress party’s Maganbhai Balubhai Patel by 31,443 votes.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Ankleshwar Assembly Constituency for the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017 is Ishwarsinh Thakorbhai Patel.
