Don’t dare mess with my mahout! Elephant rushes to caretaker’s help after seeing him being ‘attacked
Recommended Video
We have heard stories of humans rescuing animals on a number of occasions but it is rare to see a story of an animal coming to the rescue of a human being. But the video above shows exactly that and it's another example of how animals act when it comes to paying back.
In this video, a 17-year-old elephant is seen charging in when her caretaker was 'attacked' by one his mates in a mock fight. Seeing her caretaker tumbling on the ground after being pushed, the animal rushes to his help and makes the 'perpetrator' flee the scene.
It then circles the mahout and shows an assuring gesture. The animal's endearing act to protect someone who takes its full care is worth to learn from. It also confirms how good a caregiver the mahout too is that the loyal animal doesn't forget to reciprocate when it matters. It's not an exaggeration that elephants are called as "mothers".
