Congress candidate from Nalagarh assembly seat in Himachal: Lakhvinder Singh Rana

Lakhvinder Singh Rana from Indian National Congress has filed nomination papers from Nalagarh Constituency in the upcoming Himachal Pradesh elections 2017. Nalagarh is a city and a municipal committee in Solan district in Himachal Pradesh.

As of 2001 census, Nalagarh had a population of 9433. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Nalagarh has an average literacy rate of 76%.

The current MLA is Krishan Lal Thakur from Bharatiya Janata Party. He won the elections 2012 by winning 35341 votes.
