Congress candidate from Bhoranj assembly seat in Himachal: Suresh Kumar

The stage is set for an interesting contest in the reserved constituency of Bhoranj with both the Congress and the BJP deciding to introduce new faces with a clean slate in a traditional BJP bastion.

Bhoranj is a tehsil in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The Local language is Pahari although Hindi and English have official status. The total population of Bhoranj tehsil is 81, 985, comprising 38,456 males and 43,529 females.

The current MLA is Ishwar Dass Dhiman from Bharatiya Janata Party. He won the elections in 2012 by winning 27323 votes.
