BJP candidate from Joginder Nagar assembly seat in Himachal: Gulab Singh Thakur
BJP candidate from Joginder Nagar for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 is Gulab Singh Thakur.

This will be the 11th election for Gulab Singh Thakur, who has won seven times on different party tickets and lost only twice. Now aged 70, he will be contesting yet another election, which he is calling his last, from Joginder Nagar constituency, which has 89,600 voters.
He was a former speaker of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He was elected as MLA from Jogindernagar on ticket of Bharatiya Janata Party in 2007 and 2012 as Janata Party in 1977, as Independent in 1980 and Indian National Congress 1990, 1993 and 1998. He was unanimously elected to the office of Speaker on 30 March 1998.
