Bandh ka Bandobast: Time for some fun, say many in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, April 18: A bandh in a busy week seems to be like the first spell of showers after a scorching summer.
Apart from peace to the ears, a bandh could well prove to be a peace to the mind too, of course if there is no tension on the roads.
Bird Watching: With no noise on the streets and nowhere to rush to, one could catch sounds of some of the most beautiful birds found in the vicinity.
According to the Birdwatchers' Field Club of Bangalore site, there are close to 350 birds in the vicinity or more. Who knows, if you keep an eye, you may see the white-cheeked Barbet.
Practicing driving: If you are learning your bike or vehicle, this is the right time to hit the roads. The roads are empty and you can try out the curves on the roads and the signals. But, do not forget to wear your helmet, you never know there could be another learner at the corner of the road.

Playing cricket: Forget IPL, there are bigger stars on Bengaluru roads today. Twitter is flooded with pictures of children playing on the streets and having a time of their lives. With empty roads and no vehicles to disturb their game, both children and adults are having a great time playing cricket or the sports of their liking.

Sleeping or watching movie: Sleep deprived IT-executives may not get up till 12 today. But some say, they would like to swim, have a buffet lunch somewhere and read a book. Few have already headed to Coorg or Ooty for a weekend trip. And for those, who like it indoors are watching movies.
