Maqbool Fida Husain

Maverick artist and the most prominent figure in Indian Contemporary Art, Maqbool Fida Husain, popularly called M F Hussain died of lung congestion at 95.

MF Husain, famously know as the Picasso of India was on a self-imposed exile living in Qatar. He left India after facing serious life threats for his bold portrayal of Hindu goddesses. Particularly, he garnered the ire of right-wing groups on a large-scale.
