Jan 1, 2011 Egypt bomb attack

Egypt witnessed a tumultuous beginning to the year after 22 people were killed and 97 others injured when a suicide bomber struck in front of a church in Alexandria, Egypt, after a crowd of worshippers came out after attending a New Year mass on Jan 1, 2011.

The attack has been called as one of the deadliest in a decade against minority group in the country since the 2000 Kosheh massacre.
