Cash-for-votes: Amar Singh steals limelight in 2011

Former Samajwadi Party leader, Amar Singh, who was sacked from the party following his controversial role in Cash-for-votes scam, was arrested in Sept 2011 over the same scam.

Later he got bail over health issues and was allowed to travel abroad for better treatment. Cash-for-votes rocked the Parliament in 2008 before the trust vote for Indo-US Nuclear deal.
