Was NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad Assaulted For His Non-Veg Remark? Heres The Truth

The Digital Forensics Research and Analytics Center team investigated and found that the video was made by combining 2 different videos. According to DFRAC, the first video is dated back to 2015 when Purandare was assaulted on stage by members of 'Shiv Pratishthan' at a program organized by the Sambhaji Brigade demanding cancellation of the Maharashtra Bhushan Award.

Whereas, the second video was taken from a short video uploaded on leader Jitendra Awhad's YouTube channel on November 27, 2023. Notably, there has been no news of Awhad being beaten by the mob. Hence the conclusion to this fact check is that Awhad's claim of being beaten is misleading. There has been no action taken by the NCP party on the same.
