A video circulating widely on social media shows a Mahindra Thar seemingly embedded in an overhead highway signboard on NH-48, but questions are now being raised about whether the incident actually took place.

The clip, shared across platforms such as X and Instagram, appears to show the SUV stuck in a signboard displaying directions to Delhi, Gurugram, and Jaipur, along with Exit 22 on NH-48. Several posts claim the crash occurred near Jaipur after the vehicle reportedly struck the elevated structure at high speed.

Despite the claims, there has been no official confirmation of such an incident. No police statements, traffic alerts, or reports from local media outlets have surfaced, which would typically follow an accident involving a vehicle suspended from a highway gantry.

Online users who reviewed the footage closely pointed to unusual details on the signboard itself. Some of the lettering near the NH-48 marking appears distorted and does not resemble standardised highway signage used in India. Official road signs usually maintain consistent fonts and spacing for clarity.

Viewers also noted the absence of visible damage to surrounding structures and the lack of verified eyewitness footage from the scene. In cases involving major road accidents, additional videos or images from passers-by generally appear quickly on social media or in news reports.

These inconsistencies, along with the missing official documentation, have led many to suggest that the Mahindra Thar crash clip may have been digitally altered or created using AI tools.

The viral video highlights how easily manipulated visuals can imitate real-world locations such as national highways, while minor irregularities in text or structure can indicate possible fabrication.
