Has Rameshwaram Cafe In Bengaluru, Where Bomb Exploded, Reopened? Here's the Truth

Days after a low-intensity bomb blast at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, a new video has surfaced on social media sites claiming that the outlet has opened.

One viral video with a caption read: "The Spirit of Namma BENGALURU which can never be broken 💛♥️ Crowd at The Rameshwaram Cafe, Indiranagara today." This created confusion in the minds of the people whether the outlet affected by the bomb blast has bounced back so soon.

Has Rameshwaram Cafe In Bengaluru Where Bomb Exploded Reopened Here s the Truth

In the video, there is a long line of people outside a branch of Rameshwaram Cafe. Well, the truth is that the post is misleading. This is the different outlet from where the incident occurred.

While the video claims to be from Indiranagar, the bomb blast occurred in Brookefield on the ITPL Road. Moreover, the company founder Raghavendra Rao has announced that the outlet will reopen on on March 8.

The founder and CEO of Rameshwaram Cafe said, "I want to convey my strong regards to people who have got hurt. I wanted to say that we are with them, their family. One woman lost her eyes, and we are there with her. We are with our staff, four or five people, who are hurt very badly.

We need all your blessings to show what is the power of youth and to say we are Indians and we are no less than anybody. We're going to launch on Friday with a good bang. And we need all of your support... I request the government of Karnataka and India to make sure that this incident should not happen anywhere in India..."

Hence, it is clear that the said outlet has now been reopened yet.

However, the low-intensity bomb blast at the popular eatery on Friday left 10 people injured and the police invoked the stringent UAPA provisions in the case.

Several CCTV footage have shown the suspect wearing a white hat and a black mask. The suspect reportedly arrived at The Rameshwaram Cafe by BMTC bus, purchased a coupon, and ordered Rava Idli. He placed the bag containing the explosive device and then departed the premises.
