This clip has been shared by numerous users to highlight the message of diversity and love during the ongoing ethical turmoil in Manipur, where the two aforementioned communities have been embroiled in violent conflicts.

Prominent figures, including senior lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan, have shared the video with claims like "We are Humans first. Rest is notional. One of them is a Kuki and the other is Meitei from sizzling Manipur. The beauty of diversity & Love."
However, it has been revealed that the viral video does not actually feature a collaborative performance between Kuki and Meitei individuals. Instead, it showcases a father-daughter duo from Uttarakhand, who have clarified that they have no connection to Manipur.
Taking to Twitter, Shekinah Mukhiya said,''Regarding a tweet posted by Mr. Prashant Bhushan on August 6, 2023, it has been used to suggest that the people in the video are a Kuki and a Meitei singing together amid the ongoing conflict in Manipur involving these communities.''
''We want to emphasize that the claim made in relation to the video is unquestionably 'false.' We firmly state that this tweet contains misinformation or disinformation that is circulating on social media,'' she said.
