Fact Check: Old Video Of Imran Khan Shared As New One Claim, Following His Release
There has been a lot of drama in Pakistan following the arrest and release of former prime minister, Imran Khan.
On May 13 Khan arrived at his residence after he was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court, following high drama and nation-wide protests. In the aftermath of the same several videos have been doing the rounds of the just released Imran Khan.

A video has now been shared showing Khan's moving car through a sea of supporters and party workers. Pakistani journalist Jameel Farooqui while sharing the video wrote, " after enduring shelling and fascism all day, a sea of workers on the Srinagar highway was there to welcome Imran Khan (Video Credit - Abdul Qadir)."
OneIndia has learnt that the video is from March 2023, when Imran Khan was leaving the judicial complex in Islamabad after marking his appearance in the Toshakhana case. The court had cancelled the arrest warrants issued in the case. The video at that time had been posted by Pakistan journalist Abdul Qadir.

The video was in fact shared on March 18 2023. The description the video read, "Imran Khan dodges arrest after police show up at Islamabad court today."
Al Jazeera too had posted a report about the same on March 18 2023 with the headline, " Pakistan court cancels arrest warrants for ex-PM Imran Khan. We also found a video which was posted on the official Twitter handle of Imran Khan. Both the viral video and the one posted on the Twitter handle look similar and hence it is safe to conclude that the video is an old one.
