The video of a teen pointing a gun at his teacher has gone viral. Those sharing it have claimed that it was shot in the US
A video has gone viral with the claim that the teenager pointing a gun at his teacher was shot in the United States.
Those sharing the video claim that it was shot in the United States. They even criticised the Joe Biden administration for not doing enough on gun control laws.

"This is clearly Biden's America brought to you by alt-left extremist being elected into power," wrote one user. Another said, "I see so many videos of students disrespecting teachers and now a gun. The US is out of control. They behave like animals."
OneIndia did a reverse search of the keyframes of the video and found that it is not from the United States.
We found reports from October 2018, which had this video. The BBC in a report dated October 21 2018 had said that a French teenager has been charged with aggravated violence after a video showed him pointing a gun at his teacher in the Parisian suburb of Creteil.
Following the incident the teacher made a complaint to the police. The report said that the teen pointed the fake weapon towards the teacher, who was sitting on a desk. He shouted at the teacher to mark him as present on the school register.
The video was initially distributed on Snapchat and was from a school in Creteil, a commune in the southeastern suburb of Paris. The video was shot by one of the classmates of the gun-weilding teen and then uploaded on the social media.
A report in France 24 (https://www.france24.com/en/20181022-outrage-france-after-teacher-threatened-with-fake-gun) said that the teenager was pointing a fake gun. He said that it was meant to be a joke, but was unaware that he was being filmed. He also said that he was angry because the teacher had marked him absent, when he had only been late to class.
The report also said that while another student tried to plea his case, the teacher appeared more weary than panicked and continues to work on her laptop, while exchanging a few inaudible remarks with the class.
The incident was even condemned by President Emanuel Macron and members of his cabinet along with the right-wing opposition. The education minister said that they will could convene a top-level meeting to discuss ways to end violence in schools in low income city-suburbs.
We also found a video of the same on YouTube shared by The Sun, on October 22 2018. The description of the video said tat the teenager faced time in prison for the 'joke' after the teacher in the clip reported the schoolboy for 'violent' threats with a weapon. This offence can earn the teenager up to five years in prison.
Going by these reports and the video it is clear that this incident took place in France and not in the United States as is being claimed by many on the internet.
