Fact Check: Image of Israeli protests shared as those from France
France has been reporting violent protests against the pension reforms. Protestors have on numerous occasions clashed with the police over the issue.
Videos and images of protestors being tear gassed by the police and setting garbage on fire have since gone viral.

Now a photo is making the rounds showing an aerial view image of a street flooded with people. This photo allegedly shows a protest in France.
While sharing the image a Twitter user wrote, "protests in Parish tonight."
OneIndia has learnt that this image is not from France, but from Israel. A reverse image search led us to a Reuters article from March 5 2023. The report said that protests had broken out on Israel against the government's judicial overhaul. The article says that the image was shot by photographer Ilan Rosenberg in Tel Aviv on March 4 2023.
The image has also been used by The Jerusalem Post and US News.

Protests broke out after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a delay in judicial overhaul plan. Despite the delay, the protests are still ongoing in the country.
Rosenberg who shot the image even shared it on his Facebook page.
While comparing the image, we could come to a conclusion that both were shot at the same location. The image posted by Rosenberg shows Crown Plaza City Centre written on a tall building. The same can bScreenshot 2023-04-01 at 9.29.18 AM.pnge seen in the image that has gone viral with the claim that it is from France.
Hence it becomes clear that the image being shared that the protests are from France is misleading. The original image is from a protest from Isreal.
