Fact Check: Has Bangladeshi Nazifa Tushi converted to Sanatan Dharma

Nazifa Tushi is a famed Bangladeshi actor, whose is best known for her role in the movie Hawa. It is being claimed that she has converted to Hinduism

Tweets from the account of Nazifa Tushi, a Bangladeshi actress claimed that she had converted to Sanatan Dharma.

The tweet further stated that she is not afraid of fatwas after she converted to Sanatan Dharma. "No fatwa can change my mind. Har Har Mahadev," read the tweet.

"After leaving Islam, feeling blessed in Sanatan Dharma," read another tweet. In one of the tweets there is a photograph of a lady with a child with the both sporting tikas on their foreheads.

The question now is whether this claim is right or not.

OneIndia has learnt that this information is misleading and the actress has not tweeted this nor has she converted to Hinduism.

We did a search on Google to find out whether Nazifa had converted to Hinduism or not. There was no such information on the internet. More searches led us to her accounts on Facebook and Instagram. However we could not find her Twitter account.

Now, while comparing the photographs on her official social media accounts and the viral image on Twitter, it is clear that the two women are different. In fact there is absolutely no resemblance between the woman in the viral image and the one on the official accounts of the actress.

Upon searching further we found an Instagram page called bhakti_kids_cdm. On this page we were able to find the images of the lady, whose photo has gone viral with the claim that she is Bangladeshi actress Nazifa Tushi. That Instagram page can be found here.

Nazifa Tushi is a famed Bangladeshi actress best known for her role in the movie, 'Hawa.'

She is also a model and TV presenter and the fist runner-up 2014 in the Lux Channel 1 Superstar beauty pageant of Bangladesh. She is also known for her role in Networker Blaire and in the series, Syndicate.
