Fact Check: Fake website invites applications for Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana

A message has gone viral on the social media where a website is inviting applications in the name of the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana.
The website also asks for a fee of Rs 600 in order to apply. It claims that 189 assistant-level and 196 multitasking staff posts are vacant and interested candidates can apply till March 5, 5 pm.

This message has however turned out to be fake. The government's fact-checking arm, Press Information Bureau Fact Check has said that this message is fake.
"A fake website 'https://rsby.ind.in/vacancies' is inviting applications in the name of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana and is asking for a fee of Rs 600. The scheme has been subsumed under AB-PMJAY. Posts in RSBY are filled through the Admin Division of MOHFW," PIB Fact Check said on Twitter.
What is Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana?
The Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) is a government sponsored health insurance scheme in India which was launched in 2008. The scheme is aimed at providing health insurance coverage to families living below the poverty line. It also is aimed at certain categories of the unorganised sector workers. The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Eligible beneficiaries are provided with a smart card which can be used to avail cashless treatment in hospitals and medical facilities under the scheme. The coverage would include hospitalisation expenses up to a specific limit and some pre-existing diseases are also covered.
The premium for the scheme is shared between the Centre and States, with the Union Government contributing 75 per cent of the premium.

Hence it is clear that the website which is being circulated with the claim that there are job openings in the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana is fake.
