Fact Check: Did Pakistan Destroy Indian Brigade Headquarters or Target Srinagar Airbase?
Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, a wave of misinformation has begun circulating on social media. One particular claim, widely shared by several pro-Pakistan handles, falsely alleges that the Pakistan Air Force carried out a successful strike on an Indian Brigade Headquarters and the Srinagar airbase in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, the Press Information Bureau's Fact Check unit (PIB Fact Check) has categorically debunked these claims.

According to PIB, the viral video does not depict any military strike on Indian soil. Instead, the visuals are from sectarian clashes that took place in 2024 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, and have no connection to any recent developments involving Indian military installations.
Authorities have urged citizens to refrain from forwarding or sharing unverified videos and messages, especially during sensitive times involving national security. The Government of India continues to monitor online platforms for disinformation and has reiterated the importance of relying only on official government channels for verified updates.
The spread of such misinformation, especially during a time of military activity and heightened emotions, is not only irresponsible but can also contribute to panic and confusion among the public.
