Fact Check: Aaditya Thackeray did not call his father Uddhav a ‘corrupt man’
The Shiv Sena’s two warring factions have reached the Supreme Court with the Uddhav Thackeray group staking a claim for the ‘bow and arrow’ symbol of the party.
The battle of the Shiv Sena has reached the Supreme Court, with the two warring factions fighting over the symbol.
The Eknath Shinde faction which split the Shiv Sena into two was allotted the original bow and arrow symbol, following which the Uddhav Thackeray group moved the Supreme Court.

Now a screenshot has gone viral in which claims are being made that Aaditya Thackeray had insulted his father Uddhav Thackeray. From what looks like a public address of Maharashtra MLA, Aaditya Thackeray, it is being claimed he called his father a corrupt man.
The graphic has an image of Aaditya, accompanied by text in Marathi, when translated to English says, "the ex-CM is a corrupt man."
The text below says that, "Aaditya Thackeray targets former chief minister and says scammers will be jailed."
Many have shared this post on the social media.
OneIndia has learnt that the claim is misleading. The screenshot is from a rally that the junior Thackeray addressed on March 13. He targeted the current chief minister, Eknath Shinde and said that the letters in the acronym CM stood for, "corrupt man."
When one conducts a search for Aaditya Thackeray's speeches referring to Maharashtra CM as a corrupt man, you would come across a clip from Zee-24 Taas.
We also came across an article from Zee News which speaks about Aaditya Thackeray criticising Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shinde.
The news also was covered by the Times of India with the headline, : "Maharashtra: Now CM stands for "Corrupt Man", says Aditya Thackeray during a public rally."

The accompanying text with the video says that Aaditya Thackeray addressed a rally in Mumbai on March 13. During the address, he said that CM now stands for 'corrupt man.'
During the rally Thackeray also said that this government is full of contractors. The government will change the constitution and hence we need to be careful, he also said at the rally.
Hence it becomes very clear that the viral screenshot with the text that Aaditya Thackeray called his father Uddhav Thackeray a corrupt man is misleading and false.
