Did Ranveer’s Beer Biceps Really Lose 2 Million Subscribers Over His Viral ‘S**’ Joke? Here’s the Truth
Trouble is deepening for podcasters and YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina after a controversial 'sex with parents' joke made by Ranveer on the show India's Got Latent went viral. The remark has drawn widespread backlash from political leaders, influencers, and actors, who slammed it as 'crass and irresponsible.' Following the outrage, YouTube India removed the episode-originally available for members only-on the directive of the Indian government. Additionally, multiple police complaints and an FIR have been filed against Ranveer, also known as BeerBiceps, along with Samay and fellow judges Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and the show's creators.

During the show, Ranveer was heard asking, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?" The controversy has since triggered a noticeable decline in his social media following, with over 8,000 users unfollowing him across various platforms.
However, the fallout didn't stop there. Once known for his clean image and deep-dive podcast interviews, Ranveer's credibility took a massive hit overnight. Fans who admired him for his insightful conversations began distancing themselves, leading to widespread speculation that he had lost over two million subscribers due to the backlash. But is that number accurate?
Ranveer manages two YouTube channels-Ranveer Allahbadia and BeerBiceps.
According to influencer marketing intelligence platform Qoruz, Ranveer's BeerBiceps podcast account has lost around 19,274 followers on Instagram since January 31, 2025 till 10th Feb, while his personal account has seen a drop of approximately 2,931 followers.

On Facebook, where BeerBiceps has 1.3 million followers, more than 1,000 people unfollowed him within two days of the controversy erupting.

While reports of a massive two-million-subscriber drop made headlines, the actual decline appears far less dramatic. Across all social media platforms, Ranveer has lost around 56,000 followers.
That said, the controversy is expected to impact not only his subscriber count but also his brand partnerships. Ranveer has previously collaborated with major brands like Spotify, Mountain Dew, Amazon Prime Video, Intel, and Wow Skin Science-deals that may now be at risk amid the ongoing fallout.
