Why Is Vijay's 'Leo 2' Trending All Of A Sudden On Twitter?

'Leo 2' has become a trending topic on social media site X, formerly Twitter, following a post from production house Seven Screen Studio.

The makers of the movie thanked the Jammu and Kashmir administration for their cooperation during the making of 'Leo'. However, what caught the attention of Vijay fans was the mention that Kashmir will remain a part of their future plans.

"We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Government of J&K, Lt Governor Mr Manoj Sinha, Information Deptt, Tourism and all Security Agencies for cooperating for our film *LEO* in Kashmir.

The fans have seen this as a hint from the makers of starting work on 'Leo 2'. "The Kashmir fragments were absolutely stunning in #Leo," a user responded to the production house's tweet.

The second user stated, "Code word vandhuruchu da.. 💥🔥 Start the plans for #LEO2 💯❤️." Another netizen added, "Code word accept 🏃‍♂️ #Leo2 Loading 💥❤️‍🔥."

In a recent interview, director Lokesh Kanagraj had confirmed about the sequel to the blockbuster film. He said, "Leo 2 is definitely on; I'll start to write after Thalaivar171 & Kaithi 2 Definitely... It's always fun to work with Vijay Anna".

'Leo' tells the story of Parthiban, a cafe owner in Kashmir, who captures the interest of a drug cartel when he defends himself against a group of violent thugs. His past resurfaces to haunt him following this incident. In addition to Thalapathy Vijay, the film features Trisha and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles.

The movie had stuck gold at the box office and became the highest-grossing movie of 2023. It minted Rs 605.9 crore at the worldwide box office. His other release 'Varisu' earned Rs 297.55 to take the box office collection of the two movies to Rs 903.45 crore, as per Sacnik.
