Why Did Renuka Swamy Send Obscene Messages To Pavithra Gowda? Kasturi Slams Public Shaming Of Darshan's Friend

Actress Kasturi Shankar has criticized the trolls who have been abusing Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda, who was arrested along with her friend Darshan in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case.

In an interview with a Telugu YouTube channel, Kasturi condemned those who take a moral high ground and act as self-appointed judges. She stated that Pavithra Gowda is Darshan's friend, not his partner, and that her personal life is her own business. Kasturi remarked, "Since the advent of social media, the public treats celebrities as their property and passes judgments as if they are Raja Harishchandras. They don't care about their own lives but are eager to judge others."

She added, "I do not condone violence, but the victim was not innocent-he was harassing her. What right did he have to send her obscene messages? I agree that what Darshan did was wrong, but there is a court and police to decide that. Who gave the public the right to harass celebrities?"

Pavithra Gowda has faced heavy criticism on social media following the revelation of her involvement in the Renuka Swamy murder case. Renuka Swamy, from Chitradurga, was kidnapped and allegedly killed by Darshan's aides in a shed in Kamakshi Palya, before his body was disposed of in a drainage ditch.

So far, 17 people have been arrested in connection with the case.

There has been widespread outrage in Karnataka over Renuka Swamy's death, with many demanding severe punishment for Darshan. Despite the controversy and doubts about his involvement in the murder, the actor's fans continue to support him.
