Poonam Pandey has done it again. A day after claiming that she was dead, the model, in another post, has said that she is alive.
On Friday, a post on her social media pages announced that she was dead as she succumbed to cervical cancer.
The shocking news was announced first on her social media page. "This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we could request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared," the message read.

Her manager has also confirmed the news to a few publications.It turns out the news of her death was fake, a stunt pulled off by the actor and her team to spread "critical awareness" about cervical cancer.

In another video, posted on her official Instagram page, Pandey said, "I feel compelled to share something significant with you all - I am here, alive." "Cervical cancer didn't claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease," the 32-year-old added.
Who Was Poonam Pandey?
Poonam Pandey, originally from Kanpur, began her professional career as a model and quickly gained recognition. Among the participants of the prestigious Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest, Poonam stood out as one of the nine contestants.
In 2011, Poonam Pandey garnered attention when she made a public declaration that she would remove all her clothes if India emerged victorious in the ODI World Cup. However, she did not fulfil her promise. Nevertheless, she managed to stay in the headlines by sharing provocative photographs on her social media platforms.
It was in 2012 that Poonam finally followed through with her pledge and posed nude after the Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL 5.
She made her acting debut with Hindi movie 'Nasha' in 2013. She was then seen in Bhojpuri film 'Adalat', 'Malini & Co.''GST - Galti Sirf Tumhari' and 'The Journey of Karma'. She was also seen in a special number in Kannada film 'Love Is Poison'.
The actress had also left her mark in television shows such as 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 4', 'Total Nadaniyaan' and 'Lock Upp'.
