Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda is in the news for all the wrong reasons again as actor Darshan is arrested in connection with a murder case.

As per the media reports, Darshan along with nine others have been arrested by the cops in a murder case of Renuka Swamy. His body was found in a drainage near an apartment in Kamakshi Palya on Saturday.

It is reported that the deceased had sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda through social media. Some reports claim that he was pestering her to marry.

Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda had hit headlines in January this year after sharing photos of herself with Darshan, suggesting that they have been in a relationship for a decade.

This Instagram post has stirred controversy in Sandalwood, but it's not the first time her social media activity has caused a stir.

In 2017, a profile photo on Twitter and Facebook featuring the two had sparked a similar controversy. After facing backlash from Darshan fans, Pavithra had removed the photo.

In November 2024, she shared a video from her daughter Khushi's birthday celebration on Instagram, where Darshan can be seen cutting the cake and dancing with them.

Pavithra Gowda has appeared in films like 'Chatrigalu Sir Chatrigalu' and 'Bathaas'.

Interestingly, rumors about Darshan's alleged affair with Pavithra had circulated in gossip columns back in 2015.
