RJ Suchitra, known for her controversial takes on Kollywood celebrities, has extended support to Jayam Ravi and his girlfriend Kenishaa.

It comes a day after Jayam Ravi released a press release accusing his estranged wife Aarti and claimed that survivor of years of physical, mental, emotional, and severe financial abuse.

Defending the couple, she said, "What mistake did they make? Has Ravi done something no one in the world of cinema has made? Everyone is doing it secretly. This is an obvious mistake. Maybe it started right now. How much recognition is given to that girl? Women, don't you all want men to be treated like her?

A woman is crying for a marriage which has not worked for so many years. People don't know who she is and are taking her side. Who is Ravi's ex-wife? What work of hers have you all seen, except for Instagram photographs? Jayam Ravi's work is discredited. Kenishaa's work is discredited... isn't it ugly? Ravi's Response To Aarti's Letter

After being in the marriage for 15 years, Ravi announced separation from Aarti, last year. However, she gave a new twist to the story by claiming that she was not willing to part ways with him. At that time, she had slammed Kenishaa for the trouble in the marriage.

Last week, Ravi made his first public appearance with Kenishaa at a wedding in Chennai. On the same evening, Aarti came up with a letter accusing him of abandoning her and her children.

On Wednesday, Ravi came out with a two-page letter in which he spoke about years of alleged abuse, his painful decision to end the marriage, and the ongoing custody battle over his children. He also addressed rumours involving Kenishaa Francis, defending her role in his life.

Ravi described his silence until now as a matter of survival, not weakness, and stated that he was compelled to respond after being "publicly vilified with false accusations."

He strongly denied claims of neglect and financial harassment, asserting that he had endured "years of physical, emotional, mental, and financial abuse" during his marriage, including being isolated from his own parents.
