Previously, Naga Chaitanya was married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They wed in October 2017 after a long courtship but separated in October 2021 due to personal differences. Their divorce was finalised in 2022.

He shared, "It's been lovely getting to know Sobhita and her family the past few months, watching the families interact has been a joy. At the event, Samantha praised the film's teaser as "phenomenal." When asked about Samantha's involvement, Sobhita had only kind words: "She [Samantha] was very kind actually, from Twitter to Facebook, social media, everything she said. She said that, you know, 'I hope I'm the lucky charm', and I do hope so, you know. She's wonderful, so I'm very glad."
