‘We Have Separated’: Raj Kundra's Social Media Post Sparks Divorce Rumour With Shilpa Shetty
Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, sent shockwaves through social media when he cryptically alluded to his separation on X (formerly Twitter). Without delving into specifics, he simply requested some time and understanding during this challenging phase. This vague announcement left many questioning whether it was a genuine separation or a mere publicity stunt.

In a surprising post made last night on X (formely known as Twitter), Raj Kundra stunned his followers with a message regarding his "separation." His words were, "We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period 🙏💔." Notably, he didn't mention his wife Shilpa or involve any friends or family in the statement, only accompanying it with prayer and heartbreak emojis.
This message was also shared on his Instagram stories, but Shilpa, on the other hand, has not posted anything of a similar nature on any online platform.
Raj Kundra's announcement appeared abruptly, sparking immediate discussions and speculation on the internet. While some were genuinely taken aback by the news, others dismissed it as a publicity stunt.
It's worth noting that just a few days prior, Raj had unveiled a teaser for his upcoming feature film, 'UT69,' which revolves around his experiences behind bars. Many had anticipated that his post would somehow relate to the film's promotion.
In July 2021, Raj Kundra was arrested in connection with a high-profile pornography case, leading to his incarceration at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail. This incident became one of the year's most significant controversies. After spending approximately two months behind bars, he was granted bail by a metropolitan magistrate in September of the same year. He faced charges under the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty entered wedlock in 2009 and have two children together, Viaan and Samisha.
