‘We Are Fine’: Ashish Vidyarthi Reassures Fans After Guwahati Road Accident

National Award-winning actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife Rupali Barua are safe after being involved in a late-night road accident in Guwahati on Friday. The incident occurred when a speeding motorcycle struck the couple as they were crossing a road, leaving them with minor injuries. The motorcyclist was also injured and taken to hospital; all involved are now out of danger.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple were returning after dinner when the collision took place. Personnel from Geetanagar police station reached the spot shortly after the accident. Emergency services shifted the injured rider to Gauhati Medical College Hospital, while Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Barua were taken to another medical facility for treatment.

Addressing concerns and circulating rumours, Ashish Vidyarthi went live on Instagram from the hospital on Saturday to reassure fans. He said both he and his wife were doing well, adding that Rupali was kept under observation purely as a precaution.

The actor clarified that his injuries were minor and did not affect his mobility or speech. He urged people not to panic or sensationalise the incident, while also addressing misinformation being spread across television channels and social media.

Vidyarthi also shared an update on the motorcyclist's condition, stating that police had informed him the rider had regained consciousness after treatment. Thanking fans for their prayers and concern, the actor said the family was receiving good care from hospital staff and expected to resume normal routines once routine medical checks were completed.
