War 2 OTT Release: When And Where To Watch Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR

Fans eager to catch War 2 on digital platforms won't have to wait much longer. The high-octane action thriller, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, is set to stream on Netflix. While the official release date hasn't been announced, industry insiders suggest the OTT premiere will fall between September 25 and October 9, 2025.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, War 2 is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. Written by Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala from an original story by Chopra, the film was made on a massive budget of Rs 300-400 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian productions ever.

The movie follows Kabir Dhaliwal (Hrithik Roshan), a former RAW agent turned rogue, who poses a significant threat to national security. To counter him, special unit officer Vikram Chelapathi (Jr NTR, in his Hindi debut) is brought in, setting the stage for an intense showdown. Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor also play pivotal roles in the narrative.

Box Office Collections

War 2 released on August 14, 2025, during the Independence Day weekend, and opened to mixed-to-negative reviews. While critics lauded the performances of the stars, the breathtaking action sequences, and the cinematography, the film's story, direction, and visual effects drew criticism.

Despite the divided opinions, the movie went on to gross Rs 347.50 crore worldwide, including Rs 271.50 crore from India. It became the fourth-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 and the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film overall.

With its OTT release approaching, audiences will soon get another chance to experience the adrenaline-pumping action of War 2 from the comfort of their homes.
