War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Hrithik Film Witnesses Slight Dip But Sustains Well Across Major Cities

Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR's high-octane action drama War 2 has entered its sixth day at the box office with collections showing a slight dip compared to Monday. After a record-breaking start, the film's weekday trend has brought its momentum down, but the action spectacle is still putting up respectable numbers.

On Tuesday (Day 6), the film earned an estimated ₹8.25 crore India net, bringing its six-day total to ₹192.75 crore net. With this, War 2 is on the verge of breaching the ₹200 crore mark in its first week, as per Sacnilk data.

Box Office Journey So Far

The film opened to thunderous response on Day 1 (Thursday), collecting ₹52 crore net, led by strong contributions from both Hindi (₹29 crore) and Telugu (₹22.75 crore) markets. Friday saw an upward swing with ₹57.85 crore net, cementing its status as a pan-India blockbuster.

However, after the extended two-day run, collections dropped significantly over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday together contributed about ₹66 crore, with the Hindi belt still driving the majority share. By Sunday night, the film had crossed ₹175 crore net in just four days.

The real test began on Monday when collections shrunk to ₹8.75 crore, a steep fall from the opening weekend. Tuesday followed the same weekday trajectory with ₹8.25 crore, showing that the film has now settled into its weekday range.

Day 6 Occupancy Report

On Tuesday, War 2 registered an average occupancy of around 23-24% across India. The film started slow with 11.71% occupancy in the morning shows, grew through the afternoon to 21.77%, picked up in the evening with 27.25%, and ended strong with 32.96% occupancy in night shows.

NCR and Bengaluru led the way: The National Capital Region posted an impressive 31.75% occupancy across 1,229 shows, peaking at 41% in night shows. Bengaluru also performed strongly with 33.25% overall occupancy, recording 44% in night shows.

Tier-2 strength in Jaipur: Jaipur emerged as a surprising stronghold with 38.25% overall occupancy, the highest among Tier-2 cities, aided by strong evening and night shows.

Mumbai and Pune stable: Mumbai recorded 22% overall, while Pune followed closely at 21%, showing steady urban traction.

Southern markets mixed: Chennai registered a respectable 25% occupancy, but Hyderabad was weak at 13.75% overall, suggesting that Jr NTR's home turf is not firing as strongly as expected.

Underperformers: Surat (11.5%) and Kochi (not listed in Tuesday data) continue to remain weak spots. Chandigarh (15.5%) and Bhopal (17.75%) also recorded low turnouts.

Version-Wise Contribution

Hindi version: Continues to dominate with nearly ₹141 crore net in six days.

Telugu version: Significant contribution at around ₹49 crore net, making it one of the strongest dubbed markets for a Hindi actioner in recent years.

Tamil version: Marginal at less than ₹2 crore net.

The weekday trend for War 2 indicates a sharp decline after its blockbuster opening, which is typical for front-loaded action films. While the Hindi belt remains steady, the Telugu version's drop has impacted overall momentum after its stellar Day 1.

Still, with ₹192.75 crore net in six days, the film is comfortably headed towards crossing ₹200 crore in its first week itself. The big question now is whether War 2 can show growth in its second weekend, which will decide its journey towards the ₹300 crore mark.
