Vikrant Massey Returns To Shoot After Announcing 'Break' From Acting, To Star Opposite Shanaya Kapoor In Next
Actor Vikrant Massey recently surprised his fans by announcing plans to take an extended break from acting, prompting speculation about whether he was retiring. However, Vikrant has now returned to work and is currently shooting his next film in Dehradun.
Vikrant back at work

Vikrant was recently spotted in Dehradun, where he is filming his upcoming project 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan', alongside Shanaya Kapoor. This sighting follows his announcement about taking a break from acting, which caused quite a stir among his fans.
While shooting in Dehradun, Vikrant was seen wearing a black puffer jacket. A video showing him meeting Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami surfaced on social media, where they were seen shaking hands and chatting. Shanaya, meanwhile, was spotted wearing a sweater paired with denim jeans.
The film 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' will offer a contemporary take on romance and ghosting. The plot is still under wraps. The movie is directed by Santosh Singh, produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla, and written by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla. The music will be composed by Vishal Mishra.
Planning a break
On Monday, Vikrant announced on Instagram that he would be taking a break from acting after 2025. "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father, and son. And also as an actor," Vikrant wrote in his post. He continued, "So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last two movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between."
However, the actor later clarified that he was not retiring. In an interview with *News18 Showsha*, Vikrant addressed the rumours that he was quitting acting.
"I'm not retiring... Just burned out. I need a long break. I miss home, and my health is also acting up... People misread it [the social media post]," Vikrant explained. He added, "Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off, want to better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment. My post has been misinterpreted. That I am quitting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I would be back when the time feels right."
