Vijay-Trisha Affair: Tamil Producer Says 'Wrong Example' As Actors Make Their Affair Virtually Official

Noted producer and critic G Dhananjheyan has expressed his unhappiness hours over actors for "setting wrong examples" throw their actions hours after Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan made their relationship virtually official on Friday.

Without naming Vijay and Trisha, Dhananjheyan remembered the popular dialogue from 2002 Spider-Man. In a post on X, he said, "With great power/popularity comes great responsibility"... popular dialogue in the film 'Spider-Man'.

People with huge popularity carry great responsibility to set a good example for common people on how to lead a honest and respectful life for them to follow. When that's ignored, everyone loses their respect for them."

He further added, "For every person, Family comes first. When family is taken for granted and abused (mentally or emotionally), the love and respect for them gets lost. Such acts can't be normalised or justified under any circumstances ✍️"

The producer added that he is "disturbed." The post read, "Being a strong family oriented person, I am disturbed by a few leading actors setting wrong example thro' their acts, for their millions of fans and followers 💔."

He then responded to a follower's response saying that "a family man must First come out of the marriage legally and then live the way you want to with whom ever."

The producer added, "Don't normalise any other way of living. It will destroy our society if such a behaviour being followed by all. This is for all actors who are indulging in such acts, not just for one or two."

However, his message is not applicable to Vijay alone as several actors in Kollywood have ended their marriages, of late. Notably, Jayam Ravi's marital troubles with Aarti became public after he started living with his rumoured girlfriend Kenishaa.

Last week, Vijay-Sangeetha's divorce petition became public wherein she had made shocking claims about his affair with an actress.

However on Thursday, Vijay and Trisha graced the wedding reception of film producer Kalpathi S Suresh's son in Chennai.
