For over a year, rumours of actor Vijay and his wife Sangeetha's separation have been making the rounds, fuelled by speculation that she has been living in London away from the actor.

Adding to the buzz, a recent video of Vijay's father, SA Chandrasekhar, refusing to comment on Sangeetha's opinion about Vijay's political entry went viral. When asked in an interview about Sangeetha's views on Vijay joining politics, SAC simply responded, "No no, please," which only intensified the speculation about a rift.

However, a fresh video featuring Vijay's close friend and actor Sanjeev Venkat has put an end to these rumours. Appearing on Samayal Express Season 2, Sanjeev and his wife, television actress Preethi, spoke about their frequent visits to Vijay's house and shared insights about the actor's family life.

Sanjeev's Comments Ends Divorce Rumours

Sanjeev revealed, "We often have meals at Vijay's house. If we go there, there's always a variety of food. Vijay doesn't cook, but his wife Sangeetha is an excellent cook." He also mentioned that Vijay's favourite dish is mutton biryani. These casual remarks about their regular visits and Sangeetha's involvement at home have effectively dismissed the ongoing divorce speculations.

Vijay married Sangeetha in 1999, and the couple has two children - Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha. However, since Vijay announced his political entry, the rumours of the trouble in his marriage have been doing rounds on the internet.

More importantly, Vijay has been linked up with Trisha, who is blamed for Thalapathy's marital issues. Nonetheless, the actors concerned have not addressed the speculations which have given fodder to the rumours mills.

On the professional front, Vijay is currently shooting for Jana Nayagan, his final film before fully stepping into politics. The film boasts a stellar cast including Pooja Hegde, Mamita Baiju, Priyamani, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Narain, with Shruti Haasan making a cameo appearance. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for this much-anticipated project.
