Vijay, Ajith Fans Troll 'Kalaignar 100' Event Over Empty Seats, Call It Flop Show

Thalapathy Vijay, Ajith Kumar and several other top actors from Kollywood gave a miss to the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC)-organised 'Kalaignar 100', an event to celebrate late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi's centennial year.

The event was held at the Guindy Race Course in Chennai. The who's who of the Tamil film industry attended the event, but many actors failed to turn up.

Who attended the event?
Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar, Suriya, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Dhanush, Nayanthara, Roja, Jiiva, Keerthy Suresh, Parthiban, Vadivelu and many others were spotted at the event.

Who did not attend?
Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, Vishal, Simbu and Trisha among many others did not attend the event. The reason behind the absence is not known. However, some of the fans have trolled the event for the poor turnout of the audience for the show.

Radikaa Sarathkumar said that she skipped the event due to a leg injury. On X, she said, "#kalaignar always in our hearts, due to a leg injury ,very disappointed in missing the Kalaignar100 celebrations today by the film fraternity,and more so as a speaker today. Wishing the celebrations well🙏🙏🙏."

Many netizens are posting the empty seats pictures and mocking the event saying that without Vijay and Ajith an event cannot pull the audience.

"Respect these both gems from Tamil cinema 🙏 Without them kollywood is zero, no hype 💯 yesterday event became flop due to the absence of @actorvijay and #Ajith," a user wrote.

"#Kalaignar100 flop because no Vijay ,Ajith and STR 👍#STR48," the second user said.

"This Function #Kalaignar100 is proved Without Thala And Thalapathy Their is No More Crowd and Hype Strongest Offline Fanbase in TN💥," the third user added.

"For the first time seeing DMK's function like BJP's Meetings. Empty chairs everywhere. Poor promotion..! Seems like half of th party members didn't attend their own function. Absence of big stars(Vijay, Ajith) have a real impact in this event. #Kalaignar100," another netizen added.

"#Kalaignar100 Without Ajith and Vijay this event is nothing special," one more user stated.

However, the stars who attended the event recalled their memories with the former Tamil Nadu CM and remembered his contribution for the growth of the film industry.
