Days after actor Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed during a promotional event in Hyderabad, Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced a similar incident in the city.

The actor was surrounded by a large crowd while stepping out for a work commitment, leading to chaos at the venue. Videos of the episode have since gone viral.

Crowd chaos during Samantha's appearance

The incident took place on Sunday evening when Samantha arrived for what was reportedly a store inauguration in Hyderabad. Visuals circulating online show the actor struggling to move as people gathered around her in large numbers.

Her security team can be seen holding her closely and guiding her through the crowd to ensure she reached her car and left the spot safely.

Despite the visibly tense situation, Samantha remained composed throughout. She has not issued any public statement on the incident so far.

Samantha's experience follows a recent incident involving Nidhhi Agerwal, who was mobbed by fans during a song launch event in the city. The episode prompted swift police attention after videos from the venue showed the actor surrounded by a dense crowd, with several people attempting to take photographs and get close to her, making it difficult for her to move.

Police register case over event permissions

After the Nidhhi Agerwal incident, police at the Kukatpally Housing Board registered a suo motu case against the Lulu Mall management and the organisers of the promotional event. KPHB Inspector S. Rajashekar Reddy confirmed that the organisers had failed to obtain prior permission to hold the programme.

"A case is being registered against the mall management and the event organisers for holding the programme without permission," he said.

The back to back incidents have once again highlighted concerns over crowd control and security arrangements at celebrity events in Hyderabad.
