Video Of Accident That Killed Stuntman Mohan Raju On Arya's Tamil Film Out - Watch
A video of the accident that killed a stuntman on the sets of upcoming Tamil movie Vettuvam starring Arya is out online. The movie is directed by award-winning filmmaker Pa Ranjith.

In the clip, the team is filming an action sequence in which a car is flying through the air before crashing into the ground. Soon the crew is running towards the car to rescue him. The incident occurred on July 13 in Nagapattinam.

The victim is identified as Mohan Raju, son of Selvaraj from Poongandam in Kancheepuram district, according to a report in The Hindu.
Tamil actor Vishal confirmed the news of death and expressed his shock over the incident. In a post, he wrote, So difficult to digest the fact that stunt artist Raju passed away while doin a car toppling sequence for jammy @arya_offl and @beemji Ranjith's film this morning."
Vishal said that he had known the victim for year and he had done many risky stunts in the past for his movies. He explained, "Hav known Raju for so many years and he has performed so many risky stunts in my films time and time again as he is such a brave person."
Expressing condolence over the demise, Vishal stated, "My deepest condolences and may his soul rest in peace. May God give more strength to his family for their grave loss. Not just this tweet but will definitely be there for his family's future, being from the same film industry and also for his contribution to so many films. From the bottom of my heart and as my duty I extend my support for them. God bless."
The team has been busy with the shooting Alappakudi near Vizhunthamavadi village, in Keelaiyur police station limits since Thursday. The filming was temporarily halted over the tragic incident.
Similar Incidents In Recent Years
It may be recalled that a similar incident had killed at least three people on Kamal Haasan and Shankar's Indian 2 sets during the shooting. This involved a crane collapse, resulting in the deaths of three crew members and injuries to several others.
Stunt master N Suresh died after a fall from a height on the set of Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai Part 1 in 2022.
Likewise, a stunt rig man fell from a 20-foot height while wrapping up a shoot for 'Sardar 2', killing stuntman Elumalai in 2024.
