'Vettaiyan' Pre Release Event: No Live Streaming, Sun TV To Air Pre Release Event Later

The much-anticipated audio launch of Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Vettaiyan' is set to take place on Friday at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

The film's music, composed by Rajini's nephew, Anirudh Ravichander, marks another collaboration following their previous successful projects such as 'Darbar', 'Petta', and 'Jailer'. Fans are already excited about the soundtrack, with two songs already released, giving a glimpse of what's to come.

Anirudh has experimented with innovative techniques for the album, including using artificial intelligence to recreate the voice of late legendary singer Malaysia Vasudevan. The first single, 'Manasilaayo', released on September 9, 2024, features Malaysia Vasudevan's AI-generated vocals, capturing the nostalgic magic of his voice.

Another track, 'Hunter Vantaar', hit the airwaves on September 20, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.

The movie's title teaser, featuring the song 'Vettaiyan Birthday Teaser Music', was unveiled on Rajinikanth's birthday, December 12, 2023. Sung by Shubha, the teaser garnered immense attention, further fueled by Malaysia Vasudevan's AI-rendered voice, which struck a chord with fans of the late singer.

The audio rights for Vettaiyan were acquired by Sony Music India, though the exact financial details remain undisclosed. The film's distribution is also well-aligned, with Red Giant Movies securing the Tamil Nadu distribution rights and Lyca Productions handling overseas markets. Additionally, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights for South Indian languages, while Sun TV has bagged the satellite rights.

'Vettaiyan' is set for a worldwide release on October 10. With the powerhouse combination of Rajinikanth and Anirudh, coupled with the innovative use of AI vocals, the film is expected to be a grand success both musically and cinematically.

Will The Audio Launch Event Be Streamed Live?

The makers of the movie have not announced that the event will be streamed live online. It is said that the pre-release event will be aired on Sun TV at a later date.
