According to a source from a Mumbai court, Urmila filed for divorce approximately four months ago. The source told ETimes, "Urmila has filed for divorce about four months back." An anonymous source from the court stated, "After careful consideration, Urmila has decided to call it quits on her marriage with Mohsin. She has already filed for divorce in court. While the reason behind the separation remains undisclosed, the divorce isn't happening on mutual terms."

Urmila, a celebrated actress known for her roles in films like Rangeela and Satya, married Mohsin Akhtar Mir, a Kashmiri businessman and model, in a simple and intimate ceremony.
