Urfi Javed Arrested By Mumbai Police For Her 'Bold' Attire? What's The Real Story
A recent video has sparked rumors of Urfi Javed's arrest, suggesting that she was taken into custody on a Friday morning in Mumbai. In the video, shared by paparazzi Viral Bhayani, Urfi is seen during a casual coffee run when a group of individuals, purportedly police officers, approaches her.
A female officer asks Urfi to accompany them to the police station, to which Urfi inquires about the reason for her detainment. In response, the officer questions, "Who roams around in such tiny clothes?"

For unversed, Urfi was dressed in a backless red top paired with denim pants during her coffee outing. When Urfi persists in seeking clarification, the officers held her by the arms and escort her into custody. It is important to note that the authenticity of this incident and video couldn't be verified by OneIndia.
The video has left many social media users perplexed, with some speculating that it might be a prank staged by Urfi herself. One user commented, "Looks like a prank by her only," while another added, "Yes, it seems like a prank to us."
Urfi Javed Faces FIR for Misleading Arrest Video
Mumbai Police has taken legal action against social media influencer and 'Bigg Boss' contestant, Urfi Javed, for tarnishing their reputation through the dissemination of a fake arrest video. Javed, known for her distinctive fashion choices, and her associates staged a mock "raid," during which individuals posed as police officers to simulate "action" against her for wearing revealing attire. This staged act, deemed defamatory by the police, gained widespread attention on social media.

In response to the viral video, wherein a woman was purportedly being arrested by Mumbai Police for obscenity, the police clarified on the social media platform X, "A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police, in a case of obscenity is not true - insignia & uniform has been misused." The police emphasized that one should not violate the laws for the sake of cheap publicity, underlining the seriousness of the matter.
The police have filed a criminal case against those involved in the misleading video under sections 171, 419, 500, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Subsequently, the individual posing as a fake inspector has been taken into custody, and the vehicle used in the video has been seized. These IPC sections pertain to offenses such as fraudulent use of public servant attire, cheating through personation, defamation, and common intention.
The police stated that the video, created for self-promotion, circulated widely on social media and conveyed an inaccurate impression that the department was opposed to individuals wearing revealing clothing.
In the FIR, Urfi Javed, along with two other women posing as constables and a male associate impersonating a police officer, have been charged under various sections of the IPC. Additionally, a notice under CrPC section 41A has been served to Ganpatbhai Sawajibhai Makwana, the individual who played the role of a police officer in the video, requiring his appearance before a police officer.
It must be noted that Urfi has earlier faced legal issues related to her fashion choices. Last month, a complaint was lodged against her at the Bandra Police Station, as reported by ETimes. Urfi had visited the police station in response to the complaint.
Urfi Javed frequently encounters trolling, targeting, and online abuse due to her unconventional fashion choices. The Bigg Boss OTT alum has consistently addressed this issue and, in a previous interview, expressed feeling unsafe due to the backlash. However, she also defended her sartorial selections, asserting that she wears bold outfits for attention and popularity, a common pursuit in the entertainment industry. Urfi argued that she is not alone in her choice of attire, as many girls share similar photos on social media.
