Upcoming OTT Releases In The First Week of February: What’s New for Binge-Watchers in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi

Streaming platforms are lining up a packed slate of releases this week, offering viewers a wide range of choices-from romance and courtroom thrillers to documentaries, horror films and regional originals.

Between February 2 and February 8, major OTT platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, ZEE5, SonyLIV and JioHotstar are rolling out new titles featuring popular stars, compelling stories and diverse genres in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and English languages. Here's a look at the key OTT releases to watch out for this week.

Telugu audiences will get a dose of romance and comedy with Sharwanand's latest romantic entertainer, which arrives on OTT this week. The film revolves around architect Gautham, whose seemingly perfect engagement takes a dramatic turn when secrets from his college life resurface. Featuring Sharwanand, Sakshi Vaidya and Samyuktha Menon, the film blends humour with emotional conflict as the protagonist struggles to balance love, family expectations and truth.

On Prime Video, the romantic comedy "Relationship Goals" premieres on February 4. Inspired by Pastor Michael Todd's bestselling book, the film stars Kelly Rowland as a TV producer competing for a coveted morning show slot. Her professional ambitions collide with unresolved personal emotions when her former rival, played by Method Man, re-enters her life, setting the stage for romance and rivalry.

ZEE5 brings acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's "Kennedy" to Indian audiences this week. Starring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat, the noir thriller gained international attention after its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023. The gritty film, which received strong responses at global festivals, finally makes its digital debut on ZEE5.

Netflix returns with the fourth season of its popular legal drama "The Lincoln Lawyer" on February 5. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo reprises his role as Mickey Haller, who finds himself entangled in a dangerous legal battle after a shocking discovery puts him under FBI scrutiny.

Documentary lovers can tune into "Finding Harmony: A King's Vision", streaming on Prime Video from February 6. Narrated by Kate Winslet, the film explores King Charles III's decades-long commitment to environmental sustainability, offering rare archival footage and interviews that trace his vision of living in harmony with nature.

Comedy fans can look forward to "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2" on JioHotstar, featuring Kapil Sharma in a chaotic sequel revolving around accidental marriages and comic confusion. This will be out on February 6.

Netflix also adds the inspirational documentary "Queen of Chess" on February 6, chronicling the extraordinary journey of Judit Polgár, the youngest chess grandmaster in history, and her fight against gender barriers in the sport.

Regional content gets a strong push with "Parasakthi" on ZEE5 (February 6), a political drama set during the 1960s anti-Hindi imposition protests in Tamil Nadu, and "Jazz City" on SonyLIV (February 6), a Bengali period series blending music, politics and mystery against the backdrop of 1971 Calcutta.

Rounding off the week are Netflix releases "Death Whisperer 3" on February 4 and the Korean romantic drama "Even If This Love Disappears Tonight" on February 5, offering horror thrills and emotional storytelling respectively.

With such a diverse lineup, this week's OTT releases promise something for every kind of viewer.
