'Umbrella Academy' Final Season On Netflix, Release Date, More Details

In late May, a teaser trailer for Umbrella Academy's season 4 was revealed on the official Netflix YouTube channel. Its release date on the OTT platform was also revealed to be 8th August.

Since then, a lot of other details about the latest and last season of the series have been revealed as well. Here are some of the details fans of the series should know.

Plot Details Of The New Season:

Season 4 of Umbrella Academy kicks off after the suspense-filled end of season three, where members of the Umbrella Academy ended up in a new timeline without any of their iconic superpowers.

This all happened due to the members trying to avoid a Kugelblitz, the name of a universe-ending calamity, in their original timeline. They did this through a machine that used up the members' superpowers as fuel to reset the universe.

Now, in a new timeline, the series will follow the members who must face new enemies, all while without their original powers.

When this season's production was announced back in February, 2023, the series' showrunner, Steve Blackman, also hinted that the season will expand upon one of the biggest mysteries from the original Umbrella Academy comics, which were written by Gerard Way, who is also known as the lead singer of the band My Chemical Romance.

Cast Details Of The New Season:

The new season will cast returning actors from the previous seasons like Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore.

There will also be new characters, played by Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, and David Cross.

How Many Episodes And How To Watch:

The last season for the series will have six episodes, the titles of which have already been revealed by an article on Tudum. They go as follow:

1. Episode 1 - "The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want"
2. Episode 2 - "Jean and Gene"
3. Episode 3 - "The Squid and the Girl"
4. Episode 4 - "The Cleanse"
5. Episode 5 - "Six Years, Five Months, and Two Days"
6. Episode 6 - "End of the Beginning"
