TV Anchor Bhavana Hails Dhoni's CSK Video, Gets Abused By Vijay Fans; Know Why

Days ago, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) released a video as the countdown for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) began.

Sharing the video, the CSK captioned the clip: "A gift for the fans." - THA7A FOREVER!" The clip has garnered over 34 lakh 'likes', so far.

Why Vijay Fans Are Attacking Bhavana

The introduction scene of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the clip was inspired by a popular scene from Vijay's 'Leo', leading to a surge of interest among Thalapathy fans. Like many fans, TV Anchor Bhavana Balakrishnan too was impressed with the clip and wrote, "Better than the original scene 🔥🔥🔥 #whistlepodu."

This did not go well with Vijay fans as she said that this was better than the original. So, she was attacked by a section of netizens.

Later on Thursday, Bhavana Balakrishnan shared a picture of her with former Indian cricket captain of women's team Mithali Raj. She captioned the photo: "A fab afternoon spent with the RANI of Indian Cricket 🔥

Many Vijay used this as an opportunity and said that Mithali Raj was looking better than her. A user said, "She is looking better than you 🥱#betterthanoriginal." However, she responded to the said Vijay fan saying, "haha! And that's your opinion. Don't worry, I won't abuse you :)"

The user shot back saying, "You won't abuse .Cause you already got attention ryt 😂😂😂An wise man once said that if you want to be popular, you have to attack popular people #Growup."

Why Vijay Fans Are Attacking Bhavana

The TV anchor then tried to explain that she was not attacking anyone and sharing her opinion. Bhavana said,"userbruno1 is that what you are doing ? 🤣🤣 cos I attacked no one, I shared an opinion and that didnt demean anyone! They know it, it's sad you don't. #getalife !"

She also asked an abuser who demanded her to respect Vijay before passing such a comment.

The 2024 Indian Premier League will be held from 22 March to 26 May 2024. The first match will be played between the CSK and RCB.
