Trisha, Jyothika, Or Laila – Who Insulted Simran's Choice Of Characters As ‘Aunty’ Roles?
Just one statement made by actress Simran at an awards function has become a matter of debate and intense speculation.
At DFW Movie Awards, she opened up on a comment made by her contemporary colleague. As she did not mention the name of the actress, this has also paved the way a lot of speculations.

What Did Simran Say?
During her speech, Simran recounted a private message she had sent to a fellow actress-one of her contemporaries- questioning her choice of role in a recent project. In response, the actress allegedly remarked that it was better to do such roles than be cast in "aunty" characters.
Simran revealed that this reply left her insulted. Though she chose not to react at the time, she used the award platform to make her feelings known. Emphasizing that there is no shame in playing mature roles, she stated, "It's okay to do aunty roles and it is better to play a mother to a 25-year-old than do 'dabba' roles and doing nothing." Her statement quickly went viral, prompting a flurry of reactions online.

Who Referred to Simran's Roles as 'Aunty' Roles? Trisha, Jyothika, or Laila?
Soon after the clip surfaced, curious fans began examining Simran's Wikipedia page to review her recent co-stars, trying to identify the actress in question. Speculation took over social media, with many guessing that Simran's comment might have been aimed at actress Jyotika, who recently starred in the series Dabba Cartel. The use of the word "dabba" in Simran's speech led many to draw this connection.
Others believe the comment could be targeting Trisha, who recently worked with Simran in Good Bad Ugly alongside Ajith Kumar. Another name that popped up was actress Laila, her co-star in Sabdham.

Trisha's fans also shared a video showing Simran praising her, suggesting no bad blood exists between them.
