Tim Burton's 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' To Release In India On This Date

Filmmaker Tim Burton's sequel to the 1988 classic 'Beetlejuice' will make its debut in Indian theatres on September 6.

The film cast includes Michael Keaton alongside Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara.

Warner Bros India shared the release date on X, (formerly known as Twitter) and posted a teaser poster of the movie.

The poster shows a pair of hands holding a roll of white ribbon bearing numbers. In the centre of the poster is a green text that reads "09,06,24," indicating the film's release date in India.

"Dare you to say it again. #Beetlejuice #Beetlejuice - Only in cinemas September 6," the studio said on X.

Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis play a recently deceased couple stuck in their home in Beetlejuice. When an unpleasant new family moves in, including Catherine O'Hara and Jeffrey Jones, and their gloomy teenage daughter played by Winona Ryder, they enlist the help of Beetlejuice, a self-proclaimed bio-exorcist, to scare the new residents away.

The plot details of Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe, and Jenna Ortega, have been kept confidential.

The title of the film is about its title character. Michael Keaton portrayed Beetlejuice in the original 1988 film as a green-haired, boisterous ghost from the world of the dead who appears if someone says his name three times in a row.

The movie started filming in May 2023 but the release was getting delayed for months after the Screen Actors Guild went on strike in July.
