'Thug Life': Know Full Cast & Crew Of Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam Film

The shooting of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's much-hyped movie 'Thug Life' has been started on Wednesday.

The makers have formally announced the commencement of the shooting with a video. The caption of the video read: "An epic tale of power, rebellion, and triumph. #ThugLife shooting starts today!"

In the first schedule, the makers will shoot some key portions in Chennai. It will last for five days and Kamal, Joju George and Nasser will take part in it.

Produced by three prominent production houses in Tamil cinema - Madras Talkies, Raaj Kamal Films International, and Red Giant Movies - the film will showcase a constellation of leading stars and involve some of the industry's most skilled technicians.

The movie was formally announced in November to coincide with Kamal Haasan's birthday celebration with a teaser. The film reunites Kamal and Mani 36 years after their 1987 cult epic crime film 'Nayakan'.

The teaser showed a lone figure standing in the midst of a desolate and misty landscape, draped in a weathered cloak. Facing five men at a distance, each armed with various weapons and poised to charge, the camera unveils Kamal's face, showcasing his dense moustache and beard.

As the men draw near, he discards the cloak, unveiling flowing locks, assuming a martial arts stance in preparation for the impending confrontation. With systematic and calm precision, he proceeds to dismantle each opponent. Having successfully subdued them all, he dons his cloak once more, offering a smile to the camera. The title of the movie is then disclosed as 'Thug Life.'
