Rashmika Mandanna's recent Telugu romantic drama The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran, is continuing its steady performance at the box office even after nearly a week of release.

The Telugu film has been received well by the fans. As per the trade reports, it has collected around ₹1.25 crore (India net) on its sixth day, taking its total earnings to ₹10.10 crore across all languages.

Data from Sacnilk shows that the film grossed ₹8.85 crore in its first five days, while the sixth day recorded an 18.85% overall occupancy in the Telugu market - with evening and night shows witnessing consistent footfalls.

The film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty in lead roles, supported by Anu Emmanuel, Rahul Ravindran, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini Molleti.

Storyline

The narrative follows Bhooma Devi (Rashmika Mandanna), an aspiring author who joins Ramalingaiah Arts & Science College in Hyderabad to pursue her Master's degree in literature. There, she meets Vicky (Dheekshith Shetty), a computer science student who becomes fascinated by her innocence. What begins as admiration soon turns into a psychological game as Vicky's manipulative tendencies surface, blurring the lines between affection and control. The story takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Durga (Anu Emmanuel), whose connection to the duo unravels a dark web of emotions and secrets.

Following the usual post-theatrical window of four to five weeks for Telugu releases, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix around December 11, 2025.
