What Netizens Say About The Girlfriend?

Venky Reviews:#TheGirlFriend An Honest Romantic Drama, told in a sensible way with some well executed moments, but the inconsistent narration and slow pace hold it back at times!

The film takes time to get going with its slow pace but picks up during the pre-interval portions, which are well done. The second half loses the plot at times and the sluggish pace continues, though it has a few standout moments again with a powerful climax.

Director Rahul Ravindran comes back with an honest film and writes it in a sensible manner. There are a few dragged out portions, but he ensures they never turn boring.

Rashmika delivers a career best performance. she is superb in this one. Dheekshith also does well, along with the rest of the cast. The music is neat and flows well with the film.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, as it's devoid of commercial elements along with a slow pace, but it can be given a try for its honest storytelling and some hard hitting moments.

Rating: 2.75/5

#TheGirlfriend Passable 1st Half!

Grounded drama that takes time to get going and has a fairly slow narration, but builds well from the pre-interval portions with a few standout scenes. Strong performances all over. 2nd Half Awaits!

The Virginian: That first half sounds like classic slow-burn Tamil cinema done right! Loving that you're already calling out the performances-feels like the cast is cooking.

No spoilers, but buckle up for the second half... it's about to go from "passable" to "paavam, enna twist da idhu?!"

The South Cinemaa: #TheGirlfriend - Slow But Impactful 🙏

Movie is a strong watch for those who enjoy slow-paced, serious dramas. #RashmikaMandanna doesn't just act she lives Bhooma.

#RohiniMolleti is brilliant in her brief role, and the pre-interval mirror scene will stun you. Story drags at times but performances & direction shine.

Rathnam Cult🚩: #TheGirlFriend First Half Goes No Where!

Narration Slower than tortoise, lags in most of the time. Few performances works out but nothing stands out !!

Strong 2nd half can only manage to make this an average flick!!
